Ribbed knits are elastic, textured fabrics designed for finishing the edges of sleeves, sweatshirt hems, sweatpants, T-shirts, or hats. The material is highly elastic, soft, and pleasant to the touch.
The 2x1 designation means the fabric has two columns of knit stitches and one column of purl stitches, giving it excellent stretch, shape retention, and a visually appealing ribbed texture.
Width: 2×55cm (the fabric is produced in sleeve form) - this means the material is supplied as a double tube, intended to be used directly for sleeves or garment edges. Each sleeve section is 55cm wide, so when cut or sewn onto a garment, it forms a complete cuff or sleeve. This form of supply makes sewing easier and ensures uniform structure and elasticity along the entire sleeve.
